By accessing or using RailSeatmap (the "Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and by ourPrivacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Website.

2. About the service

RailSeatmap provides free, informational tools for Indian Railways travellers, including a coach seat and berth finder, coach layout guides, and an IRCTC cancellation refund estimator. The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis for general guidance only.

We may add, change or remove features, pages or coach layouts at any time without notice.

4. No ticketing, no payments

RailSeatmap does not sell, book, reserve or cancel tickets, does not process payments and has no access to your PNR, IRCTC account or bank details. Any transaction you make happens solely on official IRCTC or railway channels, under their terms.

5. Informational purpose and accuracy

Seat maps reflect common published coach configurations. Real coaches vary by batch, variant and maintenance cycle, so the berth you are allocated may differ slightly from the diagram. Refund figures are estimates based on publicly available IRCTC cancellation rules at the time of writing and exclude variables we cannot see, such as concessions, premium tatkal additions or fee changes.

• Always verify your coach letter and seat number on the official chart or your e-ticket.
• Always confirm the current cancellation rules on the official IRCTC website before cancelling.
• We do not warrant that any figure, layout or position on this Website is error-free or up to date.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Website for any unlawful, fraudulent or misleading purpose.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the Website or its infrastructure.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any data, system or network connected to the Website.
• Republish substantial portions of the Website's content without written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.
• Imply that RailSeatmap is affiliated with or endorsed by IRCTC or Indian Railways.

Unless stated otherwise, the Website's original text, diagrams, layout renderings, code and design are owned by RailSeatmap and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, redistribute or commercially exploit our content without prior written consent.

The Website links to IRCTC, Indian Railways and other external sites for your convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of any third-party site. Visiting an external link is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RailSeatmap and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising out of, or in connection with, your use of — or inability to use — the Website, including but not limited to missed berths, incorrect seat expectations, cancelled journeys, lost refunds or decisions made on the basis of an estimated figure.

Your sole remedy is to stop using the Website. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RailSeatmap and its operators against any claim, demand, loss or expense arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Website.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. Continued use of the Website after a change means you accept the revised terms.
